Not sure if you’ve watched any more of our games this season, but the phrase “horrible football” was a reference to how good we’ve been used to watch the team play since Mendilibar’s arrival. On the other hand, a nerve-wracking final for the first time in our history definitely required a different approach-tho if the viola had been more clinical it’d probably be a completely different outcome despite our defensive efforts. Nevertheless, based on our teams performances we deserved to grab the trophy and the feeling can’t be put into words!! Edit: missed the badge on ur profile-you’ve definitely watched our games. Lol. Sorry I’m still in complete awe!!!!

If Fiorentina didn't have the chances they did in the first half, I'd say this was a flawless game by Olympiacos. Mendilibar's approach reminds me of Pedro Martins's rigid defense work in the Europa League, playing with a variable press (sometimes low sometimes really high) and looking to hit on the counter. Unfortunately the players in Mendilibar's team just aren't as versatile as Martins's peak squad was, which is why Mendilibar's squad is far more limited in what it can do with this game plan.

Horrible football tonight but still. new Profile picture dropped. Love this team to death https://s3a.sofifa.net/0adb1195985341dfea664ad918d6ff3d8cc41300.jpg

Sub him on and he WILL score
avatar
pros: -Extremely good header -Very determined -Good composure, he scored many crucial last minute goals cons: -Very slow -Average technique Overall for Olympiakos he turned out to be a very good sub. When he played as a starter, almost always he struggled. His role is a 'super sub' , nothing more than that. Either way good luck in Konyaspor
avatar
the streets never forget in Portuguese League
avatar
He gives me Atlético Madrid vibes
avatar
He has to leave now. The effect of staying too long in the MLS Is responding, didn’t get called up for Argentina
avatar
Neither will Barcelona
avatar
Chelsea won't win the Champions League anytime soon. I will bet so much money on that.
avatar
And birth goddess Shashthi is proud of those too
avatar
Give Simeone one or two years with him and he's a class fullback or CDM. Man has made CFs to be great midfielders and wingers to be great fullbacks. Multiple times.
avatar
Depays role maybe
avatar
Left too soon. The guy was one of Santos main players by the age of 17 and reached a libertadores final with the team. He was really promising but decided to move too soon to a declining club that isn’t good dealing with young players.
avatar
91 acceleration with 61 sprint speed just feels so wrong
avatar
Bro can hit dog shit speed at record time
avatar
Acceleration to sprint speed ratio. Bro is going nowhere fast.
avatar
Everyone thought that him joining Olympiacos was the wrong move for him but he ended up becoming a Conference League Winner 🙌🏼
avatar
Ayoub El Kaabi this season 😤: • Scored five against Aston Villa. • Scored the winning goal in the final. • UEFA single-season record-breaking 11 goals in the KO stages. • 33 goals in all competitions. HISTORIC YEAR FOR THE MOROCCAN 🔥🇲🇦
avatar
Anniversary logo is solid, wish adidas would release the new kit early so we could wear it in the conference final https://s3a.sofifa.net/cddb2d7e5b8a4d7798687f97f5728954c6f47ec0.jpg

A team that doesn't exist in fifa/fc for 2 years made it to a european final. Talk about claiming respect from EA.
avatar
Among the best players in the world with the most hattricks. he's ranked like 6 or 5 along with Ibrahimovic, he's so good. I mean yes, he plays in the Greece league not the premier league, but still he's in Europe not Saudi Arabia or some Chinese League. Overall He's been deadly in the Greece League and decent in the champions league, and great against Arsenal in The Europa League, he proved himself. What a player! Since he's 35, he might retire soon, maybe next year or in a couple of years, I hope he gets a Hero Card or something.

77/77 easily. 15 goals in Europe this season.
avatar
Honestly crazy how fast players can improve in such short amounts of time, in my Torino save in FIFA 22 he was often with the reserves/rotation squad, yet now he'd be the best CB in the squad by a mile. Insane trajectory. I wish him good luck for the Euros!
avatar
I feel bad for the team and the fans cause they are clearly getting robbed and it’s like they are getting punished for what happened in the summer. This team deserves better and realistically should be near European competitions rn. Something needs to be said about the refs and var not being fair against them
avatar
Jump 78? WTF. He had 90 in FIFA 23.

Does de la Fuente hates him or what?
avatar
Cucurella over Miguel lmao.. la masia bias is so strong in this one
avatar
Nacho played played as a starter all season with Real Madrid. Won the league and has a ucl final to play next week. Pedri can’t even play two back to back games at 90s mins without calling for a sub
avatar
Pedri doesn’t deserve to be there, cucurella over Miguel? Navas a 40 yr old over Lucas? And the farcha fans saying that Madrid fans are hurt they didn’t call up a bench player(same bench player that humiliated their star boy cb), yet they call ferran, fermine, cucurella. https://s3a.sofifa.net/75d0c002a2dc2d684e9befd7580cd645e2a74cfc.jpg
avatar
Theo would be a hell of a signing for Madrid. A lot better than Davies that’s for sure.
avatar
He has literally won everything with Real, and i'm sure he doesn't mind that we didn't win the unimportant match before the UCL final.
avatar
I hear ya, that’s the thing we don’t really care until it hits home you know? But he’s being insensitive to the other side who’s actually getting oppressed…it is what it is but he’s had his fair share of drama & should really focus up on securing UCL not spreading nonfactual Recycled propaganda…
avatar
Agreed
avatar
Nah, he’s choosing to post it because he’s married to an israeli… he don’t even got his facts str8 tbh. He posting BS was lies 😂 acting like they’re the oppressed ones when they’re clearly the oppressors…
avatar
true big hole in our hearts and squad
avatar
Kroos and Nacho leaving hurts.

The greatest UCL night in 4 days... https://s3a.sofifa.net/379adec372e1cd5ec1c046bd502e469e40fe25e8.jpg
avatar
He made a post and made it clear that he wants to continue Apparently DAZN took this part of the interview out of the context
avatar
Lol I read this in Klopp’s voice
avatar
If Klopp were to be asked this he'd answer: "Another defensive midfielder? We have Wataru [Endo] who has been brilliant...absolutely brilliant and settled in so, so quickly. Then it's Stefan [Bajcetic] who was for so long on the sidelines and is hungrier than ever to play and help the team. Tyler [Morton] had a successful spell at Hull and will join the team at the end of his loan. So, now you tell me, where do we need another defensive midfielder? You just want this exclusiveness, but we do things in another way, we cannot go and just say 'Oh, we want this, we want that', it's just not how we do business".

I get it through the NY Times subscription I have from work which is free for me. Just inform yourself as best as you can I guess.

Sign this young midfielder that goes by the name James Milner

Klopp - Over preformed at 2 clubs, showed he could win a tittle and showed he could bring through youth Slot - Over preformed at 2 clubs, showed he could win a tittle and showed he could bring through youth Amorim - Over preformed at 2 clubs, showed he could win a tittle and showed he could bring through youth Xabi - Over preformed at 1 clubs, showed he could win a tittle I don't think Slot's achievements are worse than anyone else's. Yes he did it in a lower competition, but he had worse players. The level of the competition makes a difference when looking at the achievements of players, not managers And Xabi being a former Liverpool legend makes him less qualified because the extra backing from fans makes it harder to get rid of him if he is not doing as well
avatar
Todd Bohely wish granted 😂 Bald Titans vs Hairy Devils https://x.com/TrollFootball/status/1794670219778252812
avatar
I am sure he is just waiting to confirm that Slot does not turn out to be another ETH But also VVD is a strange case Both Klopp and Slot pay with essentially a back 2 which requires CB's with insane speed, which VVD has now sure but for how long? VVD should be looking to move to a back 3 so he can age with grace an play until he is 38 But no for some reason that I don't know VVD seems to hate playing in a back 3 So what is he going to do? Retire at 34 when he could still be world class for another 4 season in a back 3?
avatar
We're in legacy territory with Salah, he's got 3-4 years left in European football where he'll feel like he can still make a difference and perform, if he goes to Saudi Arabia now he'll know he's leaving too early. I say he'll sign a 2 year extension.
avatar
Pure speculation but Liverpool's twitter account is posting those kinds of tweets that made you think Trent & Salah will extend their deals 👀
avatar
That's such a tough procedure tough. Imagine convincing a genuine potential Salah replacement "this is where you need to be... however you might be about only for rotation with Mo for the next 1, 2, 3 years..." Good luck Hughes 😂
avatar
His numbers can definitely improve on last season, although the numbers he put up then are still amazing for a forward. I think the worry with him is we've (rightly) put him on a pedestal for so long now that we overlook those numbers! He's infuriating at times I get that, but he's also invaluable to us because of his contributions. We would 100% miss that if he wasn't here.
avatar
Trust me all fans see it as not worthy of a parade anyway
avatar
🚨 Confirmed, Manchester United will not parade the FA Cup trophy alone like Arsenal have done in the past. Manchester United only consider the Premier League or Champions League worthy of a parade. 😬
avatar
Brother, Italy has like 9 teams in Europe next season lol. I presume it’s because of Atalanta winning theirs but also Inter and Fiorentina getting to finals last year too. Fuck knows
avatar
How does your board watch you deservingly beat Manchester City when you actually have a lot of your players back and decide yes let's sack him after taking us to 3 finals in 2 years and winning 2. ETH is a top manager, but your club is run by complete morons and modern fans are so reactionary that it could cost him his job. You have been riddled with injuries and all other events of bad luck, but when you got your squad, you are a good team.
avatar
Regardless if you think he’s the second coming of Messi or not the guy was worthless 9 months ago. It’s a complete miracle that we’ll be able to get 30-40m. No getafe player will ever be worth 80m, especially one who scores 9 goals all season. Among other issues…
avatar
it was honestly great to see Varane win a trophy with united, because he really loved united https://s3a.sofifa.net/848aea02bfaac90489f089e3cc2db0bd35a70596.jpg
