he needs to narrow down on his role, and get better at whichever role that is. he is still a rather raw talent that can "do it all" but the manager is unsure of how to get the best out of him, or how he'd fit into the system. many young players are like this, and most can get out of it (best example is odegaard), but some will remain like this undefined for their whole career (such as pogba, not saying he has bad ability). at the moment, if he were to become a number 8, its best for him to become a deeper playmaker, as i do see that footwork and long distance passing on him. if he wants to play more advanced like in his leipzig days then he'd have to either become an inverted winger or a second striker. overall my point is that he just needs to narrow down on a specific role and playstyle and stick to it.
