Last season results:
League position: 6
Playoff results: Winner
Top scorer: Cornick (27g 4a 44 matches)
Top assister: Mowatt (4g 11a 49 matches)
In the first season of Glenn Murray's as a coach for the Latics, they've overachieved and managed to get the promotion to the Premier after winning 3-1 against Fulham (2-1 home 1-0 away) and 1-0 in the final against Stoke, with a goal from Moore (14g 9a 44 matches), whose stats arent amazing but with his height and physicality, has been the key player as a targetman for the team. The style is very inspired in Chris Hughton's Brighton way of playing.
SIGNINGS: Onel Hernandez: Didn't get his chance at Norwich, who are now relegated, and Wigan bet on him as a cheap but explosive option for the wings, and also another chance for Onel in the premier.
Burke: Originally signed as a backup striker, with the injury of Lowe before the playoffs he'll play on the wing.
Muhl: A Balogun substitute, who was on loan, but younger and cheaper due to being foreigner and not proven in the Prem.
Hourihane: Dean Smith didn't give him enough minutes in an Aston Villa that barely avoided relegation in a disappointing 17th place, and Wigan saw in him a market opportunity to get a good CM that can help the centre of the team.
